Reader’s suggestion wanted

One of the objectives of the project "Science, fiction and science-fiction" is the publication of an anthology. This anthology offers quotes and fragments from fiction (i.e. novels, sf novels, short stories, movies) on the five subject areas of the project:

- Artificial reproductive techniques
- Death and dying and the role of the doctor
- Dementia
- Predictive medicine
- The doctor-patient relationship.

We are eager to hear suggestions on European novels concerning these themes. There are two constraints: an English translation of these novels has to be available and our anthology will be devoted to modern fiction only (published after 1950).
